📅 - EV1Servers (ev1servers.net) said today that is has expanded the power capacity of its data center and plans to open a second Houston area facility in March.
In September, Houston utility provider CenterPoint Energy informed EV1Servers that its local power grid would be unable to support the company's continued growth. The company said today that it has successfully completed a construction project that gives EV1Servers access to additional power through a separate grid segment. The power expansion, according to the company, will allow EV1Servers to make over 1,500 servers available in the next few weeks. The company said the second facility will accommodate over 30,000 servers with an initial phase scheduled for completion in March 2004. EV1Servers also said it would be re-launch its $1 setup sale.
