Mar 3, 2004 : Stargate to Resell New.net Domains

📅 March 3, 2004 - New.net (new.net) announced on Tuesday that Stargate (stargateinc.com -> hostinger.com) will join its reseller network and offer New.net domain names to its enterprise and corporate customers beginning this spring.

New.net, based in Los Angeles, offers domain name extensions that are logical and easy to remember. These include extensions such as .travel, .shop, .family and .kids. Under the partnership, Stargate will be able to resell New.net's entire range of domain name extensions, the first time a New.net partner has even done this, the company said.
"We are excited about embarking on this partnership with New.net and confident that our customers will respond enthusiastically to the expanded domain offerings that we'll soon be providing them," says Tom Chaffin, president of Stargate. "So far, New.net's level of implementation support has been world class. The opportunity for our customers to register domain names across a multitude of languages represents a unique opportunity and the ICANN Rome meetings are a great backdrop to introduce this to the worldwide Internet community."
In conjunction with the announcement, New.net introduced a special promotion at the ICANN Rome meetings, offering new partners that join New.net's reseller network their first 300 one-year domain registrations for free, a value of $4,200.
New.net offers domain names in English, Spanish, French, German, Italian and Portuguese.
