Apr 8, 2004 : AT&T Tops Network Service Survey
📅 - AT&T (att.com) announced on Wednesday that it has been ranked first for its global network services in a new study by The Yankee Group.
At a regional level, the Global Network Strategies Survey - which surveyed more than 1,000 multinational companies - indicates that AT&T is the highest ranked global network provider in the US, Canada, Europe, and Asia Pacific.
"AT&T has reinforced its commitment to maintaining our number one position worldwide through an aggressive growth strategy backed by ongoing investment in both global network infrastructure and advanced research in technology," said Justin Sims, head of global sales for AT&T.
Survey respondents indicated that the three most important factors in selecting a network service provider are the reliability and competence of the network, total price, and the network provider's understanding of the respondents' business needs, AT&T reports.
The study also showed that most multinational companies have plans to implement voice and data into their network integration. Forty percent of respondents said they are in the process of implementing integration of voice and data/ IP networks, while another 34 percent said they plan to implement them over the next 12 months.
