Interliant Signs Private Label Deal With Terra Lycos Mexico
📅 - Leading global application service provider Interliant Inc. (interliant.com) announced on Tuesday that it has signed an exclusive five-year agreement with Terra B2B, a division of Terra Lycos located in Mexico. Under the terms of the deal, Terra B2B will privately brand Interliant's Web hosting services.
Terra B2B will offer the services to the growing Mexican and Latin American markets, initially focusing on shared and dedicated server products geared toward traditional small and medium-sized enterprises. Interliant will provide the company with its INIT Web hosting services, which include shared Web site hosting, dedicated server hosting, Web site monitoring, Internet connectivity and network services.
Terra B2B says it will also offer many of Interliant's value-added services, such as e-commerce, application hosting, managed hosting and rental enterprise solutions to its growing customer base.
Interliant says that as of December 31, 2000, the company had approximately 63,000 fee-for-service Web and application hosting clients through Interliant's and subsidiary brands, as well as approximately 16,000 clients through several prominent private label clients in its four US and two European data centers.
Terra Lycos Mexico says Interliant is one of the few companies capable of providing the complex Web hosting solutions needed for this effort. The company says that considering the managed services, e-commerce and application hosting, Interliant is the only company with the breadth Terra Lycos needs.

With more than 1,000 customers, the company says the Interliant deal will allow Terra B2B to continue to grow without placing a burden on infrastructure and capital resources.
