In July, Emory extended its 10GB Atlanta Gas Light Networks (aglnetworks.com) ring to AtlantaNAP's facility for high capacity online backup and archives. Located in nearby Atlanta suburb Druid Hills, Emory University was the first client to move into in the new data center.

"Emory is great to work with and we're very proud to have them as an Enterprise client," GNAX president Jeff Hinkle said in a statement. "Emory University has meant excellence in so many diverse areas of education, and their due diligence in selecting vendors is representative of the high standards they hold themselves and their business partners to. We recently upgraded their B feed power to enhance their resiliency as well."

Located in the historic West End of Atlanta, AtlantaNAP completed the first expansion of their new Enterprise Data Center in May 2008, adding 12,500 additional square feet of cage, cabinet and rack colocation space. The second expansion of the Atlanta NAP Enterprise Data Center is due for completion on April 1, adding 13,500 square feet of raised floor space.
