The announcement follows news in October, when GNAX's Atlanta colocation facility AtlantaNAP doubled its cooling capacity from 1,000 tons to 2,000 tons by adding two new cooling towers.
GNAX has expanded into the Telx (telx.com) facility at 8435 Stemmons. The company provides colocation in the Southeast US, as well as outsourced managed and unmanaged servers in the world.
With the new facility, NetDepot will soon offer servers in the Dallas market colocated in the DallasNAP to complement its current Atlanta location and meet the current customer demand.
"We have been offering dedicated servers longer than most companies in the market and have focused on sustained healthy financial growth," says Jeff Hinkle, president of GNAX. "This market represents the center of the dedicated market and we believe we will fill a need for cost-effective high quality solutions that have gone by the way side. Most of the other providers in the market have had to raise prices to attempt to reach profitability after years of unhealthy growth."
The company says the facility will open February 15, at which time it will offer special promotions to celebrate the launch of the new location.
The new market will include the latest NetDepot servers and all features, including a portal and back end network, high capacity network based on Cisco Systems equipment, Toplayer IPS and DDoS protection.
Network connectivity will initially include 20GB of connectivity to providers, including Level3, and will offer diverse fiber paths to the Infomart and 2323 Bryan.
As part of the expansion, GNAX will geographically diversify its DNS clusters.
The company says it will announce a third location in the US in the second half of 2009.
GNAX and AtlantaNAP has more than 14 years of experience in the industry, and primarily operates out of its sister company AtlantaNAP.
Earlier this month, GNAX named Rodney Wentz the company's new director of IT, where he will work on the automating the internal systems and enhancing Global Net Access' portal.
