📅 - Data center services provider i/o Data Centers (iodatacenters.com -> hostinger.com) announced on Tuesday it has completed the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants Statement on Auditing Standards No. 70 Type II examination.
In completing one of the most strict examinations of internal controls for service companies, i/o Data Centers ensures the efficiency and integrity of its services. The SAS 70 Type II examination was done by independent service auditor, Deloitte & Touche, who tested all controls in accordance with the AICPA.
By completing this examination, i/o Data Centers' customers are now assured by a third-party that all its internal network, access and operational controls are in place.
"Subjecting our facilities to a SAS 70 Type II audit establishes and confirms that i/o Data Centers adheres to one of the most stringent, industry accepted auditing standards for service companies," says Anthony Wanger, senior managing director at i/o Data Centers. "i/o Data Centers has proven, through independent auditors, that its physical security, logical security, environmental and operational controls operate effectively."
Completing the SAS 70 Type II examination asserts to the independent service auditor that the controls were appropriately designed, placed in operation and functioning effectively for the entire period of time of the examination. i/o Data Centers says it "designs, builds and operates world class raised-floor data centers, including data center space, conditioned uninterruptible power, network neutral telecommunications access and Internet bandwidth."
Earlier this year, Web hosting provider Hosting.com attained SAS 70 Type II certification for the second year in a row at its Irvine, California and Louisville, Kentucky locations, as did HostMySite.
