Jul, 2002 : Inkra Penetrates Korean Data Center Market

📅 - Data center equipment developer Inkra Networks (inkra.com) announced on Monday that it has formed distribution and solution integration partnerships with two of Korea's leading network solutions providers, Comtec Systems Company Ltd. and Global Telecom Co. Ltd.

Through the new agreements, Inkra says it will gain access to the majority of Korea's combined enterprise and service provider data center market. Both companies will use Inkra's Virtual Service Architecture (VSA) product family to develop new data center solutions for their customer bases.
The new deal, says Inkra, is the latest step in the company's growing presence in Asia. In June Inkra announced a multi-year partnership with NEC System Integration for the distribution of the VSA product family in Japan.
According to Inkra, Comtec and Global Telecom are among Koreas leading independent communications and networking systems integrators. Their solutions include applications, services, management and infrastructure. Together, the companies generated over $166 million in revenue in 2000.
"The Comtec and Global Telecom partnerships give us an immediate advantage in Korean data center markets," said Sanjay Dhawan, Inkra's president and CEO. "Inkra's new partners offer superior networking skills and expertise, on which they've built a large and loyal data center customer base. Inkra is thrilled to add its products to these portfolios. Partnering together, Comtec, Global Telecom, and Inkra Networks endeavor to revolutionize Korea's data centers with next-generation virtual service solutions."
