I wanted to give them a try since they had a promotional offer for their hosting plan. Bad idea.
Their service is nothing but BAD. The only good thing you will get is a nice looking control panel. Technically speaking their hosting service is awful.
- Very slow mysql server. Up to 12 seconds latency time before the server answers a request!
- Slow ftp with a lot of timeouts
- Slow webserver.
We have made some tests with a Joomla site hosted at CityNetwork. It would take sometimes nearly 20 seconds before the server answers a request for a basic page containing mostly text, apart from a jpeg logo. And this is on a test site with zero traffic.
Also SEF urls with .htaccess to perform url rewrite is poorly supported and needs a lot of tweaking to get it to somehow work. You have only read/write privileges on YOUR databases. And don't even think about getting SSH access...I've discussed with the tech support, no way you'll get this.
