They offer the following products:
- Shared hosting (Personal Hosting, Business Hosting, Windows Hosting);
- Cloud hosting;
- Dedicated servers;
- Reseller hosting;
- Domain registration;
- Website builder;
- Web design;
They offer DDoS protection, firewalls, and they monitor the activity of the customers’ websites. Lunarpages provides state-of-the-art monitoring system in order to prevent issues; top power; cooling systems; multiple redundant UPS; paralleled N+1 PowerWare UPS modules and APC PDU technology. Load speed pages and nightly backups make customers really happy about the services they offer. Free SSL certificates are offered for non-eCommerce sites whereas insured SSL certificates are offered for eCommerce sites. Perhaps one element that could make customers consider moving from Lunarpages to other hosting companies is that they apply a setup fee. 😠 STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!
I was with a host called SBWH for 6 years that LunarPages ended up purchasing. I had an agreement in place with SBWH to be a reseller of my dedicated server hosted within their company and get a 20% cut of all billing they made. This was a great arrangement for 6 years. After LunarPages purchased SBWH, they agreed to the same arrangement with my company after seeing that a single dedicate server would make them 2-3 times the amount of money they would normally get for a single server even after paying me. After year 1 they swore they would do accounting and get me a check. That never happened. I allowed the billing to continue for these 20+ clients on one server making $25 a month each for their company, expecting my referral commission so I can make a small profit and pay for the maintenance my team was doing on the server. That's right, they didn't even handle the maintenance because their support team didn't know Linux well enough. So after year 2, I expected to be paid and was told over and over it would happen by their manager, Wayne Salvino. After another 6 months of fighting with them, I was fed up ... 2 1/2 years of lies, no money paid to me ever and over 1 thousand dollars paid to my team for maintenance over this time period. Basically I lost my shirt because of their lies. Wayne was recently fired and it went from lies to admission with the new guy Shawn told me straight up what would happen. LunarPages will not honor any past agreement with me and they are keeping all the money made on the server over the2 1/2 years. Plus, all my clients have now been moved to my new reseller server (I learned my lesson and am handling billing myself now) and all clients have cancelled their plans with LunarPages. All 20+ clients were paying per quarter (some a full year in advance) and Q4 just started. So, they asked for a prorated refund. LunarPages has refused to refund anything to these clients. This is just plain crooked to keep the money for services they will not provide.
