😠 The first year Packet servers functioned fine and it seems to have been the decent choice to move over from Digital Ocean to bare metal. Recently however Packet started more and more doing maintenance during office hours, even shutting down entire server racks simultaneously, thereby causing enormous problem on our end. For me the most important thing they can offer is reliability and they recently fail miserably.

😠 At first i was very pleased with the quality of the services Packet provided. The servers t1.small.x86 servers we used, performed remarkable and were very reliable. But lately (2018/2019) Packet performs more and more maintenance. They mention maintenance 2 days prior to the actions and don't give customers any time to take preparations. No response to emails and related communication. Recently they did a full day of maintenance during business hours, without giving us some preparation time. Ridiculous actions for a server provider in my opinion!! Reliability and uptime should be their number one priority!!!

😠 I have a service that does data mining on the Common Crawl corpus and uploads the parsed/collected data to Wasabi. Any outbound data from Packet to Wasabi should be free. Got charged for ~2 TB outbound data transfers on Packet. I discussed this with their support and they lowered it to ~1TB. However, I'm sure that 98% of the outbound traffic went to Wasabi. When I asked for where the other traffic went they replied with "Choopa, AT&T, Charter/Pacewest". That's interesting because I don't even know what are those providers except AT&T.

😠 horrible the guy wasted my time, sat on the live chat like I was signing up to get something worth while, then he goes put your debt card information in, and I asked him if there were any hidden fees and he said no, per hour, then I get a email verification like normal from any other website, Go to click the link and there like no sorry I have to manually approve you, then I go to the bank, check my bank account, and I'm missing money, I check yup that company stole my money, without authorization, without service, and then he said no sorry your not qualified. USA prohibited the illegal discrimination of service, What kind of qualification would you need to rent a computer system with no criminal history of computer abuse act violations. then they tried to inspect what I was hosting for which was a eSports Gaming league, eCommerce, and Video Game Streaming service.
