As others, the service used to be just about OK although tardy. It is now non-existent, have lost access to sites, one site completely down, also email problems. As the company hasn't gone bust it is tricky to get access to my domains to transfer them. VERY dodgy.
Are they really bankrupt?
I got caught with this lot, changed my domain instant by using nominet cost £12 but it was instant all you need is a new host then as soon as set up you can upload yoyur website should be up and running in a day or 2

Hanival GmbH as operator of chillydomains domain and hosting services is in bankruptcy since 20.Dec.2012. To recover all operative agenda (domain and hosting contracts, server systems and portals, as well as open claims) all assets were taken over by the Ledl.net GmbH on 18.Jan.2013, with the goal to offer excellent service quality to all Chillydomains customers from now on.

no emails have come through in over 4 weeks. Have they gone bust? Does anybody know what customers can do? I am using backup email contact but all correspondence given out ove years has email from chillydomains
Website down since 4 weeks, no reply from service, no reply by calling the service line,

worked ok until summer 2012, then the troubles occured.
since 1st of october more than ten e-mails to the support-team were not answerd, no telephone-support reached.
since ten days their mailservers are down, can't accept mails on our accounts.
after terminating the contract they don't deliver the necessary tranfer-auth-code to us since 2 weeks.
hands off, don't deal with them. terrible!!!
they will go bankruptcy.
My website remains down more than its remains up. I must have sent atleast 30 emails to the support. They just do not revert. I am not even to transfer the domain. We are so stuck. Our clients say, that how can you offer services when your website is not even working.

I had no problems in the last years but since a few months everything seems to go crazy. Servers are down, mailservers won't work and my newest domain got hosted on the same outdated server as my other ones. I can not even install the newest Wordpress version there.
No reactions from the customer "service". No reactions from the CEO of the company (not even from his secretary or anyone else).
I patiently tried to reach them now for two months and decided to cancel my plans. Now I am afraid the domain transfer will not work as well.
Double debit entry in the lasrt year, but after hardship I got the money back. Last four weeks I sent e mails of complaints and finaly 3 e-mails of dismissal without response but they must give me the codes of the domain for to change the provider at least within 5 days. So I´m waiting. And never more chillydomains:

My site has been down for over a month now as it has been locked despite being fully paid up until October next year. I have tried contacting Chillydomain offices and customer service in Austria, India, USA and UK without any answer by phone or email.
Basically, as I am unable to even transfer my domain, Chillydomains is essentially guilty of theft and as such have approached my solicitors. They should be closed down as soon as possible in order to protect unsuspecting new and potential customers.

The DNS has not been working for over 4 days now, it took the customer service over 4 days to respond to my mail.
I asked about the DNS Problem, the customer service reported that their team was working on the HTTP problem.
This provider has constantly crashed on me, making it unable to publish or view web pages, as request does not find URL.
They never reply to emails, requesting answers, or when their system server will be up and running again.
This is costing me a lot of costumers
Wants to realise money too early before renewal,No contact in india, too fast to terminate after realising money,never understands customer communications,does not honour affiliate payments.
These guys must be THE worst hosting company ever. They have no idea what they are doing. I have been unable to publish my site for the past six months because plesk says the ftp is wrong, they cant fix it! They did manage to publish content once, but its not my content and now I cant change it. They ignore emails, demand money, have no UK number I can call and are the most rude and unprofessional people I have ever spoken to. Just dont do it! I lost all of my website last year after there servers went down, and they dont even back up! also, they say you can back up and four easy steps to get a site, yet backup is disabled in the control panel and erm...I still dont have a working site! nightmare! I went with www.echointernet.net instead and could not be happier, real qualified people at the end of the line or email who actually care about keeping your business/website online. Will never look back, you only pay for what you get!
Be warned and please consider other hosting companies, these guys made my life hell.
You then invoke the grievance procedure and write 4 times to Dietmar Haacker and guess what no reply whatsoever. Soi if you have money to waste or a business to destroy I can give no more higher recommendation than to ask chilldomains customer service department to do this for you.
I have begged pleaded cajoled requested abused got utterly frustrated and at no time have the vermin in this company ever attempted to resolve what is probably a tiny problem. They are the scum of the earth and if you do nothing so are you
Their Plesk 8.6.0 control panel isn't actually that bad and is quite user-friendly once you get used to it, though it does appear to alter its features with the phases of the moon.
One major gripe is the fact that the image uploading facility can be more than a little precarious. A good deal of my time over the last couple of years has been wasted in repeated attempts to upload even small and well optimised images. Oddly, I have recently discovered that it can sometimes help to change the name of an image if the control panel is having a hard time uploading it. However, once a file is placed in the FTP space, it does seem stable enough in there.
The uptime is pretty good too - I can think of very few occasions when things have gone drastically amiss.
Alright, here comes the down side...
