Wetopi is a specialized managed WordPress hosting provider based in the Barcelona area of Spain. The Wetopi platform was founded in 2015, building on earlier experience with WordPress development, maintenance, and hosting. The service is operated by Inte, implantación de nuevas técnicas empresariales S.L., a Barcelona company incorporated in 1998. Joan Vega and Carlos Portillo Sánchez are associated with the creation of Wetopi, with Joan Vega closely involved in the technical architecture and development of the platform.

The company concentrates entirely on managed WordPress hosting rather than maintaining a large catalog of conventional shared hosting, Windows hosting, unmanaged VPS, reseller packages, or bare-metal servers. Its service is designed for freelancers, agencies, professional WordPress sites, WooCommerce stores, membership platforms, and larger business installations.

Each WordPress site operates inside an isolated container with dedicated computing resources. This architecture provides much better separation between customers than traditional shared hosting and reduces performance problems caused by unrelated websites sharing the same environment.

The hosting stack includes NGINX, PHP-FPM, HTTP/3, Brotli compression, and NVMe SSD storage. Distributed Ceph storage adds triple data replication, while server operating systems and core hosting software are managed by Wetopi. Customers can change PHP versions and test software changes before applying them to their live WordPress installation.

Security is integrated directly into the hosting platform. Protection includes external Web Application Firewalls, IP blacklists, managed DDoS mitigation, daily malware scanning, server software maintenance, and automatic SSL/TLS certificates.

The Free from Hack Guarantee is included with Standard and higher individual hosting tiers and with Agency hosting. Starter customers can still use malware-cleanup assistance, but that service costs €200 per cleanup.

Integration with Cloudflare is supported without requiring a WordPress plugin for basic CDN use. Additional assistance is available for DNS, CDN configuration, Cloudflare Argo, and related optimization work.
