VPSslim is a Netherlands-based virtual server provider founded in 2009. The brand forms part of HostSlim, while the VPSslim terms identify HostSlim B.V., Dutch Chamber of Commerce number 52966887, as the contracting company. The wider HostSlim infrastructure operation began in late 2008 and now supports services from the Netherlands and Estonia.

The catalog is centered on Virtual Private Servers, with separate OpenVZ VPS and KVM VPS ranges. Domain registration and domain transfers are also available through the customer portal. A Storage VPS category remains marked as coming soon, while shared hosting, reseller hosting, dedicated servers and colocation are available through the wider HostSlim business rather than the VPSslim storefront.

Both virtualization ranges contain three standard configurations. Resources start with one Intel Xeon CPU core, 1 GB RAM, 50 GB SSD storage and 1 TB monthly bandwidth, increasing to four CPU cores, 8 GB RAM, 300 GB SSD storage and 10 TB bandwidth. Every configuration includes one IPv4 address, a /64 IPv6 allocation, snapshots, monitoring and DDoS protection. Servers use a 1 Gbps uplink, and automated provisioning allows the VPS to become available shortly after successful payment.

OpenVZ remains the least expensive choice for Linux development systems, VPN gateways, small applications and lightweight services. It uses container-based virtualization and shares the host kernel, making it less flexible than a fully virtualized server. KVM VPS provides stronger isolation, support for custom kernels and broader operating-system compatibility, making it the more suitable option for production applications and Windows deployments.

CentOS, Ubuntu and Debian are available without an operating-system surcharge. Windows is restricted to KVM servers and adds €7.50 per month. This can be useful for remote desktop environments, Microsoft-based applications and Windows administration, although the license significantly increases the final cost of an entry-level VPS.

DDoS mitigation is included with every VPS plan and has a capacity above 1 Tbps. Protection covers common UDP floods, HTTP GET and POST floods, DNS and NTP amplification, fragmented traffic, spoofed SYN attacks, connection-holding attacks and several other frequently encountered denial-of-service methods.

A small percentage of each VPS order is allocated to tree planting through Trees for All, with the service reporting 250 trees planted. This complements the use of Dutch wind-generated electricity and free-air cooling at the Netherlands facility.

The main VPSslim website is available in English, with a separate Dutch version at vpsslim.nl. The billing and customer portal supports a much broader range of languages, including Arabic, Azerbaijani, Catalan, Chinese, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Estonian, Persian, French, German, Hebrew, Hungarian, Italian, Macedonian, Norwegian, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Spanish, Swedish, Turkish and Ukrainian.
