😠 Poor Service and No Refunds!
We have a popular website that gets over 300,000 hits a day, but for technical reasons, we needed a new server, so we tried SolVPS. In December, 2021, we purchased a year of service and installed our site.
Sadly, the completely unloaded SolVPS server ran much slower than our old server, which made no sense since it was not publicly available yet and had no users, while the old server was still fielding a full and constant load. When we explored the problem, we discovered that the SolVPS disks were running TWENTY TIMES SLOWER than our existing server, even though the SolVPS machines use SSD disks and the old server had hard drives.
We complained to SolVPS, and they moved our server to different nodes which helped the performance somewhat, but they were never able to deliver disk throughput comparable with the fully-loaded old server. After two months of failures, we abandoned SolVPS.
What we didn’t notice until then is that SolVPS has a no-refund policy, and they refused to return any of the money we’d given them. This cost us over $1000! So beware of SolVPS, which cannot deliver performance and will waste both your time and your money.
