Maru.net is a long-established South Korean hosting brand with roots in the Linux infrastructure business started by founder Heo Gi-haeng in 2000. The Maru Internet identity followed around 2004, after the earlier NX Linux Systems operation. On November 1, 2020, the Maru hosting business, customer accounts, and related services were transferred to Noblesys Co., Ltd. (noblesys.co.kr), which continues to operate the platform.

The service portfolio is unusually broad for a regional provider. It includes Linux shared hosting, SSL hosting, multi-account hosting, dedicated servers, server rental, colocation, managed server administration, cloud infrastructure, backup services, domain registration, email, website creation, reseller services, monitoring, and server security. Several specialized products, including blog hosting and image-link hosting for online stores, also remain part of the wider service range.

Standard Linux hosting is divided into 2G, 5G, and 9G packages. These plans include FTP and SSH access, MariaDB databases with phpMyAdmin, email accounts, connected domains, traffic monitoring, and a complimentary subdomain under the maru.net infrastructure. Automated website and database backups are retained for seven days, while server monitoring operates continuously.

SSL-oriented hosting is available through 3G SSL, 6G SSL, and 10G SSL packages. These plans provide larger storage and traffic allocations for business websites that require HTTPS support. A separate multi-account hosting platform serves web agencies, developers, and customers managing several independent websites. MultiBiz, MultiPower, and MultiDeluxe accounts allow multiple domains, databases, email accounts, and hosting users to be administered from one environment.

The multi-account and server products use Maru’s proprietary administration ecosystem. SysMan handles hosting and server management, BizSys supports business-service administration, SysMon and MSMon provide infrastructure monitoring, and NetKey restricts administrative access to approved customer IP addresses. Security services include firewall management, vulnerability checks, web application protection, access controls, and the m-Defender security platform.

Maru Home adds a hosted website-building service with designer-assisted themes, drag-and-drop editing, webmail, SSL, domain connection, and bundled hosting. It is convenient for customers who do not require direct FTP or SSH access, although it operates separately from conventional Maru hosting accounts.

Dedicated and infrastructure services are managed through MaruIDC. Customers can purchase or rent physical servers, place their own equipment in colocation racks, add managed administration, or combine server infrastructure with continuous monitoring and backup. MaruCloud extends the portfolio into public and hybrid cloud consulting, custom server deployments, application-server configuration, database infrastructure, and KT-based cloud environments.

The platform is primarily available in Korean, with prices displayed in South Korean won (KRW). A complete English-language storefront does not exist, so international customers should confirm English sales and technical-support availability before ordering.

The interface has a dated, fixed-width design with older product sections and inconsistent navigation between the hosting, IDC, cloud, and website-builder services. Several shared-hosting specifications still reference PHP 7.0-era components and older OpenSSL releases. Customers requiring a recent PHP branch, current TLS configuration, or a specific MariaDB version should obtain written confirmation before migration.
