Root-Server L keeps the same platform profile as the M model but doubles the memory while staying on the Ryzen 5 generation. Its recurring fee is 99.99 EUR per month and the one-time setup fee is 892.50 EUR. The hardware stack uses an AMD Ryzen 5 5000-series CPU with 6 cores and 12 threads at 3.6 GHz, 128 GB DDR4 RAM and two 2 TB SATA SSDs. As with the smaller plan, the visible disk total is 4 TB before the software-RAID mirror arrangement noted in the comparison, included monthly traffic is 10 TB and port speed is 100 MBit/s.
The operating envelope is otherwise the same strong dedicated baseline: one IPv4, IPv6 allocation, in-house menu for rescue mode, reboot and reinstallation, 100 GB backup space, DNS resolver service and business-focused support with round-the-clock emergency telephone coverage. The larger RAM footprint makes this tier more attractive for denser service stacks, larger databases, memory-heavier application workloads or multiple heavier sites consolidated on one machine. It remains suitable for Linux out of the box and can also be adapted for Windows using paid remote console tooling and customer-supplied licensing.

The entire root-server line is based on real physical hardware with no virtualization layer, hosted in manitu's fully owned data center in Germany directly at the company's site. The comparison pages add several infrastructure details that are valuable in practice: 4-fold geographically and logically redundant connectivity, more than 40 GBit/s aggregate bandwidth, an in-house IPv4 and IPv6 backbone, UPS protection, diesel generator backup, full air conditioning and 100 percent green electricity in a climate-neutral setup.
Operational tooling is more substantial than the short overview suggests. Each server includes an in-house customer menu for reboots, rescue systems, reinstallations and traffic statistics, plus 100 GB backup space reachable via FTP, FTPS and SFTP. One IPv4 address is included, IPv6 comes as one /64 per server and one /48 per customer, and DNS resolver usage is included. The data center availability figure is stated at more than 99.9 percent annual average with 24x7 monitoring. Support is available by phone and email during regular hours and by a dedicated 24x7 emergency phone service for root-server customers, while Windows can be installed using paid KVM-over-IP and the customer's own image and license. The range is restricted to business customers, billed monthly in advance, with a 12-month minimum term and 2-week cancellation period.
