LCN is a long-established British domain-registration, web-hosting and online-business provider whose origins go back to 1999, when the original business concentrated on web design. The LCN hosting and domain operation developed around 2000, and in 2019 LCN became part of the team.blue group.

The corporate structure has changed significantly. The historical LCN.COM LIMITED, company number 03877731, was incorporated on November 16, 1999 and voluntarily dissolved on December 30, 2025. LCN services continue under Team Blue Internet Services UK Limited, company number 03913408, an active UK hosting company incorporated on January 25, 2000. This company previously operated as Names.co Internet Services Limited and later Namesco Limited before adopting its present name in August 2024.

LCN now covers much more than conventional shared hosting. Its portfolio includes Domain Registration and Transfers, Shared Web Hosting, WordPress Hosting, Managed WordPress, Managed WooCommerce, Self-Managed VPS, Managed VPS, Email Hosting, Microsoft 365, SSL Certificates, Website Builder, Ecommerce Website Builder, Web Design, Online Booking, Online Compliance, accessibility tools, managed DNS, domain monitoring, brand protection and related services for businesses. AI-based tools have also become part of the range, including website creation, WordPress assistance and the Macaly AI environment for building websites, applications and other online tools.

LCN has served more than 100,000 customers, with hundreds of thousands of domains under management and tens of thousands of active hosting accounts. More recent figures exceed 450,000 managed domains and 70,000 customers. At corporate level, Team Blue Internet Services UK Limited had approximately 160 employees across Worcester, Reading and London during FY2026. The shared environment uses NVMe SSD storage, SFTP, SSH, phpMyAdmin, MySQL, OPcache and multiple PHP versions. Professional and Expert add technologies such as Varnish, Redis and RAMDisk to improve performance. Customers needing greater server-level control can use PureSSD Self-Managed VPS. The XS configuration starts with 1 vCPU, 2 GB RAM, 75 GB SSD storage and 2 TB bandwidth. The S configuration provides 2 vCPU, 4 GB RAM, 150 GB SSD storage and 5 TB bandwidth, while the M and L servers scale further in CPU, memory, storage and traffic allowance.

PureSSD VPS backups run every four hours with nine retained backup slots, and a manual snapshot is also included. Supported operating systems include Debian, AlmaLinux, Ubuntu and Windows Server, making the platform suitable for both Linux and Windows workloads.

Domain Registration remains a core part of the business. The catalog covers popular UK and international extensions together with hundreds of newer generic TLDs. Transfers of UK domains are generally free, while many international extensions carry a transfer charge and include an additional registration year. Other domain services include managed DNS, domain monitoring, acquisition assistance and online brand protection.

The Website Builder range incorporates AI-assisted site creation together with ecommerce functions. Starter is intended for small sites with up to five pages, while Standard supports 50 pages. Business and Ecommerce permit unlimited pages. Higher packages add AI content creation, multilingual functionality, membership tools and broader design capabilities. Ecommerce extends this further with product management, discounts, shipping options, multi-currency support and invoicing.

LCN also provides Web Design for customers wanting a website built with professional assistance rather than creating it themselves. Additional business tools include Online Booking, using SimplyBook.me technology for appointments, reminders, payment handling and booking widgets, together with Online Compliance for privacy and cookie-management requirements. Accessibility products are also available for businesses working toward website accessibility requirements.

SSL certificates use Sectigo technology and include Domain Validation, Organization Validation, Extended Validation and Wildcard options.

LCN remains strongly focused on the United Kingdom. The service is in English and commercial pricing is primarily in British pounds. Prices are generally displayed excluding 20% VAT, although VAT-inclusive values can also be shown.
