IPower was a long-running U.S. hosting brand founded in 2001, and for many years it targeted small businesses as well as customers who wanted a broad, all-in-one hosting provider. The company built its name around beginner-friendly web services, a large bundled feature set, and an eco-friendly business image. Over time, however, the brand stopped functioning as a standalone hosting company. After becoming part of a larger consolidation wave in hosting, IPower was absorbed into the Endurance group in 2007, and by April 2026 the old ipower.com address no longer operated as an independent storefront, instead redirecting into the Network Solutions environment. In practical terms, the brand had already become a legacy name rather than an active separate provider.

During its stronger years, IPower covered a wide range of products. The catalog included Shared Hosting, WordPress Hosting, VPS Hosting, Dedicated Servers, Domain Registration, Email Hosting, SSL Certificates, E-Commerce Services, and Marketing Services. That made the company attractive to customers who wanted hosting, domains, email, and business add-ons under one account. It was not the most developer-oriented provider on the market, but it worked well for businesses that preferred convenience and bundled extras over deep technical flexibility.

The VPS line was one of the more useful parts of the portfolio. There were three VPS plans, and they typically included features such as a free domain, unlimited domains and subdomains, MySQL databases, FTP accounts, and pre-installed scripts. The Dedicated Server range also offered three plans, with a similar all-in-one style and several included tools, while the dedicated packages added multiple IP addresses, usually in the 3 to 5 IP range depending on the plan. IPower also had Reseller Hosting for both Linux and Windows, which widened the appeal for agencies and smaller hosting resellers. The weaker side was that some bundled tools did not always remain free for the long term, and certain extras turned into paid renewals after the initial period.

😠 I have had this company for years. In the past year or during covid they charged a 150.00 hosting fee then this year they charged a 215.00 fee. I had changed two items to manual a few years ago and was recently charged again automatically for a privacy fee and the site when I did not want to keep it and never needed privacy on it from day one. I also downgraded shopsite and when I looked I was still being charged for shopsite pro. I used live chat and explained all and that I also was being charged for an SSL three times. He even said one was unused and the dead end was that he said he couldn't do any refunds.

😠 IPOWER is the most incompetent pack of ill trained morons on the net.

Cannot understand, let alone answer a simple question. Cannot assist in any way shape or form as they are not authorised. managers who cant manage, 2nd level support open only 9-5 central US time.

Close cases with inane answers, don't tell cases are closed.
