During 2025, approximately 99.8% of the energy consumed by the overall infrastructure came from renewable sources. For ordinary hosted websites, the contractual availability target is 99.99%. When qualifying website availability falls below this level, customers can request a proportional service credit for the affected month. This credit applies toward future IONOS services rather than being paid in cash. Planned maintenance, customer-caused failures, force majeure, legal restrictions, and incidents outside IONOS control are excluded. VPS availability is also specified at more than 99.99%.

The main My IONOS customer area handles contracts, invoices, domains, DNS records, SSL certificates, email accounts, website hosting, backups, and account security. Shared-hosting customers can install WordPress and other applications, create databases, configure PHP, manage files, and access their accounts through SSH or SFTP.

WordPress plans include simplified installation and management, while technically advanced packages provide WP-CLI, Git, SSH, and SFTP access. This combination allows beginners to use guided tools while developers retain direct access to the application environment.

VPS and server customers use the Cloud Panel for server creation, rebooting, firewall rules, IP management, backups, storage, private networking, and monitoring. Root-level administration is available through SSH for Linux or Remote Desktop for Windows. A browser-based KVM console remains available when the normal operating-system connection cannot be used.

Plesk Obsidian is available as an optional license for VPS plans and can also be requested with selected dedicated servers. cPanel and WHM are not available, which is an important limitation for customers who depend on the cPanel ecosystem.

Enterprise cloud customers use the graphical Data Center Designer, which allows servers, storage systems, networks, load balancers, and other resources to be positioned and connected visually. The same environment can be automated through APIs, command-line tools, Terraform integrations, and software development kits.
