📄 Editorial Review
HostBlast (est. 2001) is a U.S.-based provider offering mainstream web hosting products aimed at keeping costs low while bundling a wide set of conveniences. Their catalog covers Shared Hosting, Reseller Hosting, VPS, Dedicated Servers, and Domain Registration. Across plans they highlight transparent, fixed pricing (no hidden fees), performance-oriented hardware, and a security stack designed to keep sites stable under load.Shared hosting focuses on ease of use: a drag-and-drop Website Builder PRO, WordPress installer, free SSL, multiple PHP versions, SEO tools, Softaculous one-click apps, and optional daily backups. Reseller hosting emphasizes go-to-market speed with unlimited storage/bandwidth, private nameservers, free migration, 200+ site templates, and cPanel branding for a white-label experience.
VPS plans stress control and performance with SSD storage on RAID 10, full root access, and DDoS protection. Dedicated servers are available with Linux or Windows and SATA storage, but only include one IP address and do not allow purchasing additional IPs—an unusual restriction that may be limiting for some use cases.
Under the hood, they advertise 8-core CPUs, at least 32 GB RAM, SSD storage, hardware RAID, LiteSpeed Web Server, and 1 Gbps connectivity. Security posture includes DDoS mitigation, an enterprise firewall, real-time virus scanning, spam filtering (SpamAssassin), and email deliverability features (DKIM/SPF). Extras such as Attracta SEO tools, Cloudflare integration, and a cPanel interface available in 34 languages round out the feature set.
HostBlast presents multiple red flags that undermine trust and professionalism.
Website Quality: Their site includes default template text on the reseller page, suggesting minimal effort in content curation and quality control. Overall, the website is sparse and light on essential details prospective customers expect to see.
Company Transparency: There is no dedicated About Us page, no office information, and no basic corporate background. The business comes across as opaque, making due diligence difficult.
Recommendation: Given the current state of the website, lack of transparency, and limited social footprint, WHTop does not recommend this company at this time. Prospective buyers should proceed with caution and verify operational details directly before committing.

😠 Appalling. Complete lack of customer service. My domain name expired at the start of this week but they have not forwarded a renewal notice at all nor made any effort to contact me through my website. They changed the name servers so my website is down. I emailed 3 1/2 days ago, sent a support ticket, a message through their old Facebook page, their old live chat - everything I can think of and NO RESPONSE AT ALL. Once my site is back up I am transferring away from them as quickly ass humanly possible and will warn everyone I know to avoid their shitty asses.
