📄 Editorial Review

Bisnet Hosting & Development (BHD) is a South African web hosting and development company based in Gqeberha, formerly Port Elizabeth, in the Eastern Cape. The business has operated since 2001, giving it more than two decades of experience with hosting, Internet services and web development. Collin Schwagele is the founder and Managing Director, while the broader team covers hosting support, full-stack development, WordPress work, design, sales and account management.

BHD combines conventional hosting with development services rather than concentrating only on server infrastructure. Its portfolio includes Website Hosting, Domain Registration, Website Design, Web Development and Mobile App Development, together with custom web-based systems for businesses that need something more specialized than a standard website.

The company works mainly with SMEs, entrepreneurs, agencies, non-profit organizations, educational institutions, startups, online businesses, freelancers and developers. Although headquartered in Gqeberha, its customer reach extends throughout South Africa, including Cape Town, Gauteng, Durban, East London, George and Knysna, as well as customers outside the country.

The main Pro Hosting package includes 30 GB disk space, unlimited email accounts, daily backups and support by telephone or email. It comes with a 99.9% uptime level and is clearly aimed at business websites, company email and customers who prefer direct technical assistance instead of managing their own server environment.

Domain registration complements the hosting service, with common South African and international extensions such as .CO.ZA, .ORG.ZA, .COM and .NET. Keeping domain registration, hosting and development with the same company can be useful for smaller businesses that prefer a single technical contact for their complete online presence.

Website development is a substantial part of the business. Entry-level projects can include up to five pages, responsive design, a CMS administration area and customer training. BHD also develops applications for Android and iOS, including custom applications, CMS backends and ongoing maintenance when required.

The company operates in English and prices its services in South African rand (ZAR). Its relatively small technical team gives the business a more direct support model than the large-volume hosting brands, particularly for customers who need development work alongside their hosting account.
