Asia Registry is an Australian domain registrar and hosting provider with a strong specialization in Asia-Pacific country-code domains, international domain portfolios, and corporate brand protection. The Asia Registry brand has operated since 2005 and forms part of Instra Corporation, an Australian registrar founded in 1997 by Tony Lentino.

Instra Group, including Asia Registry, was acquired by CentralNic for approximately AUD 33 million, with the transaction completed in January 2016. CentralNic later became Team Internet Group (teaminternet.com), placing Asia Registry within a much larger international domain registration and online services organization. EuropeRegistry is almost identical business!

Domain registration remains the company’s strongest area. Its services cover regional and international domains, domain transfers, renewals, WHOIS privacy, registry lock, Internationalized Domain Names, premium domains, new generic extensions, domain marketplace services, DNS management, URL forwarding, trademark protection, Trademark Clearinghouse services, SSL certificates, email hosting, shared hosting, and a website builder.

The regional domain catalog is particularly useful for businesses expanding across Asia and the Pacific. Customers can register extensions connected with Australia, New Zealand, India, Singapore, Hong Kong, China, Japan, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, and numerous other jurisdictions. Certain country-code extensions require local presence, residency, or other eligibility conditions, and local-presence assistance is available where the relevant registry permits it.

Internationalized Domain Names are available across more than 44 languages and writing systems. This makes Asia Registry useful for companies protecting localized versions of their brand or operating in markets where domain names are commonly written in non-Latin scripts.

Separate Email Hosting packages provide domain-based mailboxes, webmail, forwarding, and autoresponders. They are suitable for customers who need professional email without purchasing a complete hosting package.

The Website Builder provides a drag-and-drop editing environment for customers who do not want to create a website manually. It works from desktop computers and mobile devices, including iPhone, iPad, and Android systems. Combined packages can include a domain, hosting, and the website builder under one account.
