Aplus.net is a long-established American web hosting and online services brand with roots dating to 1992, when Ivan Vachovsky founded Abacus America. Over the following decades, the business expanded from Internet and hosting services into domains, email, website creation, security, and other products aimed primarily at small and medium-sized businesses.

The ownership history is significant. In July 2009, Hostopia (hostopia.com), then part of Deluxe (deluxe.com), acquired Aplus.net's shared web-services customer assets in a transaction involving more than 80,000 small-business subscribers. In 2023, HostPapa acquired Deluxe's web hosting and logo design businesses, bringing Aplus.net into the HostPapa group. The current contractual identity is Aplus.net by HostPapa, although some older Deluxe branding remains visible in parts of the service.

The current portfolio is focused on Cloud Hosting, Domains, Business Email, SSL Certificates, Website Security, Website Creator, Website Design, Logo Design, Fax-to-Email, and Aplus Reviews Promoter. VPS, dedicated servers, colocation, and reseller hosting are not part of the current Aplus.net product catalog.

Cloud hosting is divided into Basic, Business, and Professional plans. Basic supports two websites and includes 100 GB storage, 500 GB monthly data transfer, five email accounts with 2 GB per mailbox, and one MySQL database. Business increases the allowance to ten websites, 500 GB storage, 5,000 GB monthly transfer, 50 email accounts with 5 GB per mailbox, ten MySQL databases, and one 100 MB Microsoft SQL database. Professional allows unlimited websites and storage, unmetered normal-use data transfer, 100 email accounts with 5 GB each, 100 MySQL databases, and two 200 MB Microsoft SQL databases.

Annual hosting packages include one domain registration. The ability to use both MySQL and Microsoft SQL is particularly useful for companies maintaining mixed environments or older business applications that still depend on Microsoft database technology.

The hosting platform uses clustered cloud architecture rather than relying on a single server. Services can operate across server clusters, while local server firewalls, router and load-balancer firewalls, hardened operating systems, RAID storage, and redundant server resources provide additional resilience and protection.

Domain registration remains an important part of the business. The registrar entity is Hostopia Canada Corp, IANA Registrar ID 52, operating under the ICANN Registrar Accreditation Agreement. Businesses wanting a fully managed website can use the professional Website Design service. Packages include design work, responsive layouts, copywriting, hosting, and ongoing website maintenance. Standard, Business, Custom, and Ecommerce service levels are available.

Security products include Positive SSL, Sectigo SSL, Premium SSL, Extended Validation SSL, and Wildcard SSL certificates. Depending on the certificate, features can include domain or organization validation, warranties from $10,000 up to $1.75 million, trust seals, PCI scanning, website scanning, and wildcard coverage for subdomains.

Website protection can be expanded with SiteLock services covering malware and vulnerability scanning, automatic malware removal, web application firewall protection, site acceleration, and automated bot filtering.
