Oct, 2003 : Zipa.com Launches 25% Discount on Web Hosting

📅 October 16, 2003 - Zipa.com (zipa.com), a New Orleans-based provider of Web hosting and managed services, said Wednesday it is guaranteeing at least 25 percent lower prices for shared Web hosting than any other major provider as part of its campaign to grow its Web hosting market share.

The company said it is targeting customers disillusioned with higher prices and poor service provided by major Web hosts.
Sigmund Solares, CEO of Zipa.com, added that Zipa.com is accepting pricing proposals from webmasters. "If 25 percent off is not incentive enough for you to switch, then fax us your bill and tell us what price you are seeking," said Solares. "Many customers tell us that they were paying double what we charge them - so whatever it takes, let us know."
According to Zipa.com, the 25 percent off guarantee is scheduled to end November 1, 2003.
The company said that new promotional offers will be offered each month and will not cease until Zipa.com is one of the largest Web hosting providers in the world.
Early this year, Zipa.com purchased a tier-1 data center facility in New Orleans from Enron Broadband Services, Inc.
