📅 - New Orleans Internet services company Zipa, LLC (zipa.com) recently purchased a tier 1 data center in downtown New Orleans from Enron Broadband Services, Inc.
The first-rate facility was purchased through a bankruptcy sale and is being further updated by Zipa to offer better accommodations for companies seeking commercial Internet hosting and collocation, as well as other Internet and telecommunications services. The 6,600-square-foot facility offers carrier class features for Internet connectivity, including climate control, fire suppression and power backup. Zipa said it is seeking to make the facility one of the premier collocation and commercial hosting options in the South, while also building one of the largest private peering points in the region.
