Netcraft: Secure Dog Most Reliable Company Site in October
📅 - Secure Dog Hosting (secdog.com), an Alexandria, Virginia-based Web hosting provider, became the first Web host to have its Web site run an entire month without a single request from Netcraft's (news.netcraft.com) five performance monitoring machines failing, the UK-based research and analysis firm said Monday.
Secure Dog topped Netcraft's October survey that ranked the most reliable hosting company Web sites on the basis of failed requests and connection time. Sites running on BSD platforms occupied the first four positions, with Secure Dog, who runs OpenBSD, being followed by pair Networks (pair.com👉 Total Reviews: 12 🙌 Average Rating: 5.3 / 10 👍 Good Reviews: 7 👎 Bad Reviews: 5 👈 Official Responses: 0), InetU (inetu.com) and Ipowerweb (ipowerweb.com👉 Total Reviews: 51 🙌 Average Rating: 2 / 10 👍 Good Reviews: 5 👎 Bad Reviews: 46 👈 Official Responses: 0 -> ipower.com), who all run on FreeBSD. Energis, the first European-based company on the list, came in fifth. Nyi.net, jumpline.com, ev1servers.net, komplex.net and colt.net rounded out the top 10. Netcraft said the performance by Secure Dog was a positive indicator for its routing providers and the "generally benign" conditions on the Internet over the last month. The firm also said the performance highlighted the stability and responsiveness of Secure Dog's infrastructure.
