📅 - Hamilton Rentals, a UK-based supplier of IT rental equipment, will offer its customers managed hosting services through its newly established relationship with hosting firm Verio Europe (verio.co.uk).
Under the agreement, Hamilton Rentals' hosting infrastructure will be housed in Verio Europe's data center facilities.
"Hamilton Rentals recognized the market requirement for hosting amongst its prospects and customers and that it needed a partner with established expertise to support the move into offering rented hosting solutions," said Trevor Borradaile-Jones, partner manager for Verio Europe. "With some 43,000 customers hosted on over 1,700 servers in London alone, and with the backing of our parent company NTT Communications, Verio Europe has enormous experience in deploying hosted systems. Verio Europe can offer solutions that can be molded to suit Hamilton Rentals customers' requirements, such as increased bandwidth, emergency repairs and upgrades, as well as 24x7 support."
Hamilton Rentals said it entered the relationship with Verio Europe as a result of the increase in demand for outsourced hosting among small and medium-sized enterprises (SME).
"We understood through talking to clients and prospects that the demand was there for companies and in particular SME's who were looking at hosted services with a view to alleviating the costs and risks involved in managing it themselves," said Jim Butler, rental sales director for Hamilton Rentals. "Our investigations led to Verio Europe and it soon became apparent that it could offer us the infrastructure and expertise to fulfill our requirements, making us the UK's first rental company to offer hosted solutions."
