📅 - Web hosting provider Verio Europe (verio.co.uk) announced on Friday that it had increased content distribution and replication services for the euro2004.com Web site. Verio is an official IT partner for the Euro 2004 football championships and is providing the technology supporting the euro2004.com Web site during the tournament. The site includes a wide range of bandwidth-intensive multimedia content, including streaming media and on-demand video clips.
According to Verio Europe, it will be working with Network Appliance (netapp.com) to deliver rich media content, leveraging the company's caching and content delivery solutions. Network Appliance will also be responsible for disaster recovery, data management services, data replication, and storage solutions on the site.
Verio Europe said the reliability and scalability of the NetCache appliances and content delivery solutions will allow Verio to deliver a world-class broadcast event.
"Network Appliance's flexible approach enables us to place multiple NetCaches around the world without needing staff to manage the equipment locally. This enables us to easily scale the service as the demand peaks and throughout the tournament." says Moos Bulder, President of Verio Europe.
