📅 - Web hosting and IP solutions provider Verio Europe (verio.co.uk) announced on Friday that UK Premiership team Charlton Athletic Football Club has chosen the NTT/VERIO PowerPlatform managed hosting services to support its new Web site, CAFC.co.uk.
According to Verio, Charlton needed to upgrade the hosting of its site to support a range of new services, including video highlights, and to improve the site's uptime and security, ensuring immediate access for fans from more than 40 countries.
The PowerPlatform services, says Verio, include fully managed hosting of dedicated servers with round-the-clock security and performance monitoring, and were fully implemented in just two weeks. The Web host selection process was undertaken on Charlton's behalf by Victorial Real, the digital communication agency that designed the Web site.
"Together with Victoria Real, Charlton Athletic is creating a unique site, and we're delighted to be helping extend the club's online presence," says Moos Bulder, president Verio Europe.
