📅 - According to research and analysis firm Netcraft's (netcraft.com) March Web server survey, the number of IP addresses with sites built using Asp.Net has overtaken those using JSP and Java servlets.
Netcraft said that the number of IP address found with Asp.Net file extensions has grown extremely fast over the last year, increasing 224 percent from 17,200 to 55,800. JSP and Java servlets grew at a slower rate of 56 percent. According to Netcraft, 83 companies from the Fortune 1,000 use Asp.Net on one or more of their sites. Some of these 83 companies include British Telecom, JC Penny, Nestle and American Express. Netcraft's monthly Web server survey measures Web server software usage on Internet connected computers. In March, the survey featured results based on an aggregate pool of 48,038,131 sites.
