Apr 5, 2004 : VeriCenter Migrates Users to PureHost
📅 - Web hosting firm VeriCenter (vericenter.com) began alerting customers of its AppSite Hosting brand last week, including customers of the DellHost brand acquired by VeriCenter in December, that it would be migrating shared hosting accounts to partner PureHost (purehost.com👉 Total Reviews: 1 🙌 Average Rating: 9 / 10 👍 Good Reviews: 1 👎 Bad Reviews: 0 👈 Official Responses: 0 -> web.com) in a process that began on March 31 and was expected to conclude early this week.
An explanation on the PureHost Web site says the migration was undertaken in order to separately serve the specific needs of shared and dedicated hosting customers. "AppSite Hosting will continue to deliver dedicated hosting services," the site says, "while shared hosting customers will be migrated to the PureHost platform and supported by PureHost." The companies say PureHost will handle the migration, with minimal disruption to customers, though some may be required to make updates to name server entries. According to AppSite, customers' storage space, data transfer and POP allotments will not change, though billing and customer support will also be handled through PureHost.
