📅 May 4, 2004 - Web hosting provider Server Yard (serveryard.com) announced the launch of a special promotion this week, offering $1 per month of hosting for 60 days.

Under the promotional offer, which runs through May, customers receive hosting at $1 per month for the first two months and then pay $14.95 per month after the 60-day period expires. No setup fees or contract is required and there is a 30-day money-back guarantee. The $1 per month plan includes 500MB of Web space, 20GB of transfer, 400 POP emails, a Web site builder, FrontPage extensions and MySQL database.
The company also introduced 40 commonly used scripts that customers can install directly from their control panel. According to Server Yard, the scripts help users build interative Web sites and can be installed without any advanced programming knowledge.
"We have invested in the latest Web technologies to make our customers' Web hosting experience as easy as possible, even for the novice user," says Simon Macharia, customer relations manager for Server Yard.
Server Yard is based in Dallas, Texas.
