📅 - Storage software company Veritas (veritas.com) announced on Tuesday that it has entered into an agreement to acquire email backup company Kvault Software for $225 million in cash, according to a report by Reuters.
Kvault helps companies store, manage, backup and archive email and data, a technology that analysts say is growing in importance as regulatory requirements become more stringent. Veritas said it expects the deal to close by the end of the month. The acquisition will add to the company's earnings within 12 to 18 months. Veritas said. Kvault, with 200 employees, recorded revenues of $23 million last year. It has offices in the US, Britain, France, Germany, Australia and the Benelux countries.
