Sep 22, 2004 : Korean Web Host Launches VPS Service logoSeptember 22, 2004 - Korea-based business venture ClassData Network announced this week that it has launched a VPS hosting product for the Korean market, known as Microserver (, with plans to offer the service internationally as well.

The VPS technology divides mainframe capabilities into partitioned root servers, allowing clients to fully control the capabilities of their own partitions without intervention from the hosting provider. ClassData says the solution is an ideal remote platform for companies worldwide looking to establish business connections with Asia.
ClassData says the Microserver solution offers a customizable server environment that allows customers to update and reconfigure their Linux implementations, manage dedicated services, meet system requirements for third-party software.
The service also includes a four-tiered control panel with the ability to create nested users, sites, mail and databases, enabling Microserver customers to establish their own branded hosting services. ClassData says the service is well suited to hosting companies that wish to expand their distribution to Asia without the need for fixed investments or resident employees.
