📅 September 23, 2004 - Data center operator and managed service provider Peak 10 (peak10.com -> flexential.com) announced on Wednesday that it has implemented numerous disaster recovery and business continuity plans over the past two months for its Florida customers.

During the recent attacks of tropical storm Bonnie and hurricane Charley, in August, GunnAllen Financial successfully enacted its disaster recovery plan. Tampa-based brokerage and investment firm, GunnAllen Financial has 180 branch locations throughout the United States, with more than 900 registered reps and more than 200 support staff at its corporate headquarters.
The company moved its critical information technology infrastructure to safety inside Peak 10's data center in Tampa, Florida, and staffed a fully functioning onsite business continuity operations center at Peak 10.

The announcement comes off the heels of last week's opening of Peak 10's second data center in Tampa.

The 15,400 square foot data center brings the company's total Tampa data center space to more than 30,000 square feet.
