The announcement comes off the heels of last week's opening of Peak 10's second data center in Tampa.
The 15,400 square foot data center brings the company's total Tampa data center space to more than 30,000 square feet.
According to the press release, DunnhumbyUSA "collects and stores customers' buying data to help retailers make competitive pricing decisions and enhance customer relationships and loyalty."
The company has a diverse range of customers in the retail, manufacturing, financial services and telecom industries.
"DunnhumbyUSA's services are more essential than ever, given the current state of the economy," says Ernest Leffler, vice president and general manager of Peak 10 Cincinnati. "With a growing number of retailers seeking its services, dunnhumbyUSA was in need of a secure facility to house its immense amount of consumer data. The combination of our enterprise class facility, fully-redundant network, geographic diversity, portfolio of managed services and expert staff allows us to fully support both the present and future IT needs of dunnhumbyUSA."
Located in the Cincinnati suburb of West Chester, Ohio, the Peak 10 data center offers colocation, enterprise hosting, data recovery solutions and managed services.
The facility, which opened earlier this year, has multiple levels of security, uninterruptible power, HVAC systems, fire suppression and around-the-clock monitoring and management.
It is SAS70 Type II compliant and is interconnected by Peak 10's private network, which provides customers high availability and enables them to access data centers in eight other markets in the eastern US in disaster recovery situations.
In addition to Cincinnati, Peak 10 owns and operates data centers in Atlanta, Raleigh and Charlotte, North Carolina, Tampa and Jacksonville, Florida, Nashville, Louisville, Kentucky and Richmond, Virginia.
