📅 - Web development firm HyperLink Software announced on Tuesday that it has launched Buy-a-Host.com (buy-a-host.com), a free Web site that serves as an online marketplace for Web hosting providers that are interested in buying and selling hosting assets.
HyperLink Software said the site is designed to act as an acquisition clearinghouse for hosting providers, where they can advertise, meet and negotiate the transfer of hosting assets anonymously. According to HyperLink, the solution is designed to cater to hosting providers who want to exit the business without hanging customers out to dry. By enabling hosting providers to discreetly negotiate a sale, says the company, buy-a-host.com can expand on what might otherwise be limited prospects. Membership is free to all hosting providers.
