📅 - Zeus Technology (zeus.com) said this week that server vendor Iron Systems (ironsystems.com) will manufacture and distribute the Zeus Extensible Traffic Manager appliance in the US market. Iron Systems is Zeus's first US-based distributor. ZXTM combines management, security and optimization in a single solution. It is designed to protect application infrastructures, accelerate applications and maintain the performance of networks. "Earlier this year Zeus launched The ZXTM Channel Program - a global initiative that will help us forge new partnerships, build reseller relationships and create a robust, indirect channel around the world," says Steve Palmer, vice president of marketing at Zeus. "Signing an agreement with Iron Systems is another important step for our business and reinforces our commitment to offer ZXTM direct to the US market."

📅 - Skema Data Picks Redbus Interhouse - The Italian division of colocation and managed services provider Redbus Interhouse (interhouse.net) said on Monday that it had added software vendor Skema Data as its 100th customer. Redbus says it was chosen because of the quality of its infrastructure, triple layer security measures and independent choice of connectivity providers. Skema previously operated its own data center. "We are delighted to sign Skema Data as our 100th customer," says Luca Beltramino, country manager for Redbus Interhouse. 📅 - Cisco Shuffles Executives, Management - Network hardware builder Cisco Systems (cisco.com) announced Thursday that it had undergone significant restructuring, resulting in the appointment and expanding roles of key staff. Leading the series of appointments is Charles H. Giancarlo, who was named Cisco's new chief development officer, effective July 31. Giancarlo, formerly Cisco's chief technology officer, will succeed Mario Mazzola who will retire from Cisco after serving over 12 years for the company. 📅 - TechPad Unveils Web Hosting PPC Tracker - Web hosting advertising and marketing agency TechPad (techpadagency.com) announced on Friday that it had created a standardized index for tracking daily and running averages of paid Web hosting related search terms. The bid prices, measured only from Monday through Friday, are for the third bid position on search engines because the first and second spots are considered too volatile and not representative of true pricing, TechPad says. The index covers the PPC prices for eight keyword phrases and displays the results in easy-to-use grids.
