📅 September 30, 2005 - Lucent Technologies (lucent.com) announced on Friday it has launched the Lucent Hosted Custom Applications Center, enabling service providers to rapidly deliver personalized new services. The announcement was made at the CTIA Wireless I.T. & Entertainment 2005 event.

The new initiative is part of Lucent's continuous effort to offer carriers services that can help drive their revenue growth through stimulating traffic. The Lucent Hosted Custom Applications Center helps service providers to rapidly introduce differentiated services, with low upfront investments.

Lucent's hosting capabilities will be managed from one of Lucent's four carrier-grade Global Network Operations Centers in Denver, Colorado, Hilversum, The Netherlands, Sydney, Australia, and Hamilton, New Zealand.
