📅 November 11, 2005 - Web hosting provider VIA USA (vianetworks.net) announced on Friday that it would integrate dedicated servers with the ModernGigabyte (moderngigabyte.com) system, enabling resellers to operate their own hosting companies.

VIA will provide resellers with a dedicated server that hosts an integrated control panel and ModernGigabyte's billing system ModernBill (modernbill.com). With ModernBill, customers will be able to provision services, accept orders and process payments. The reseller plan also includes a domain registration reseller account, SSL certificate reseller account, merchant account and fraud prevention tools.

"Resellers are looking for hosting solutions that make sense," says Daniel Kimball, vice president of sales and marketing for VIA USA. "Via USA and ModernBill enable resellers to focus on marketing their companies instead of running them. By adding ModernBill and a control panel, a one person reseller will look and run like a major hosting company."

The dedicated reseller plan is self-managed and self-configured. Other available add-ons include backup, patch management, choice of control panels and additional bandwidth. All servers are operational within one business day.
