May 18, 2006 : ISPCON Continues With Day Two

📅 - Internet services industry conference ISPCON (ispcon.com) Spring 2006 continued with its second day Wednesday, held at the Baltimore Convention Center in downtown Baltimore, Maryland.

Day two of the conference sessions included a greater focus on Web hosting issues, with presentation topics such as hosting profitable on-demand applications and software services, competitive SWOT analysis for SME hosting success, maximizing your data center dollars, and leveraging the latest hosting technologies for attracting new business.

The "Success Stories: Hosting" session, moderated by the WHIR's Candice Rodriguez, showcased the accomplishments of Web hosting providers Hostway, with VP of global marketing and GM John Lee; ServerBeach, with VP Robert Miggins; EasyStreet Online Services, with president and CEO Rich Bader; and C I Host, with CEO Christopher Faulkner.

In the day's keynote address entitled "Neutrality Reality," Isen (isen.com) principal and "The Stupid Network" author David Isenberg discussed the growing resistance against the all-powerful telecommunication companies and the effort to allow for a more free Internet experience for end users everywhere.

Droves of attendees visited the exhibitor's hall, which featured demonstrations by Web hosts, ISPs, e-business, security and database management software providers and telecommunication companies.

Following the exhibit hall, conference attendees took to networking sessions, which acted as a forum for discussing issues facing the Web hosting and ISP industries. ISPCON Spring 2006 concludes its third and final day tomorrow.
