📅 - Colocation provider Internap Network Services (internap.com -> inap.com) announced on Wednesday that it is expanding its Seattle data center, and expects to complete the project in early 2007. The announcement comes on the heels of additional build-outs in Boston and New York, which were initiated to meet the growing demands of clients in those metropolitan markets.
Internap will support the Seattle colocation expansion with enhancements to its underlying data center infrastructure, as well as a dedicated network operations center and sales team.
The new space enables Internap to provide more access to its proprietary performance IP service, which provides optimized Internet connectivity. The company will market its strong service level agreements and carrier neutral approach to help fill the additional space.
"I believe customers value our flexible approach to colocation and find that it complements our premium IP and route optimization services," says James P. DeBlasio, CEO of Internap. "This expansion allows us to accommodate the market's growth by offering the best possible environment for providing high-value Internet connectivity."
