Nov 15, 2006 : HTTPCity Expands Hosted Offerings
📅 - Web hosting provider HTTPCity (httpcity.com -> hostinger.com) said Wednesday it has upgraded its service to include additional plans, a new server cluster, new subscriber benefits and new site management software. HTTPCity says that it has also unveiled a more user-friendly Web site.
HTTPCity is offering the first month of its Residential Plan for 10 cents, along with discounts for its other hosting and reseller plans. The company says accounts are now hosted on Dell Dual Xeon servers with 2GB of RAM, which include an upgraded version of the cPanel control panel and the Fantastico Deluxe auto-installer.
"Over the years, we have really evaluated what our customers are looking for, and we decided to adjust our products and services accordingly," says Mark Greenberg, director of business development for Big Resources, parent company of HTTPCity. "Today's announcement is a direct response to current trends of the industry and our customers' needs; there isn't such thing as one size fits all anymore. We believe that ultimately our business is a service business, and in order to further develop our customer base and support our existing clients, we simply must improve our offering and services to meet the ever changing demands and desires of our customers."
The company is also offering discount subscriptions to popular webmaster resources. Customers receive 25 percent off memberships at BoxedArt, a Web development library on the Internet and Built2Go, a provider of fully-featured turnkey Web sites, along with a 40 percent discount on memberships to Stockedphotos, a library of over 10,000 royalty-free photographs.
