📅 November 14, 2006 - Domain registrar and Web hosting provider Go Daddy (godaddy.com ) announced on Monday it has had significant growth in Web sites secured by SSL certificates, according to the October Netcraft report.

The report shows Go Daddy gaining more SSL certificates in October than the three nearest performers combined, securing 1,337 new SSL-enabled Web sites. For the third consecutive month, Go Daddy led all Web hosting providers by adding 559 SSL-enabled sites, nearly double that of the next-best performer, says Netcraft.

"We are very pleased with our achievements in the secure certificate marketplace," said Bob Parsons, Go Daddy founder and CEO. "SSL certificates are essential in helping e-commerce businesses thrive. The certificates Go Daddy offers are affordable, easy to use and come with 24/7 support."

In addition to its Turbo SSL and High Assurance products, Go Daddy has announced plans to support the new extended validation certificate guidelines recently published by the CA/Browser forum and supported in Internet Explorer 7.
