📅 - Snapchat and Skype have been singled out by Amnesty International for failing to protect user's privacy. According to the report Message Privacy Rankings, released this week, eleven popular messaging services were pitted against each other and Facebook rose to the top as the winner, the most protected.
The Facebook messaging apps Facebook Messenger and WhatsApp both scored a 73 the highest scores six points higher than Apple's iMessage and Facetime.

📅 - 17 Dyn Data Centers Were DDoSed Globally - More details are surfacing about the recent DDoS attack on Dyn Data Centers. Now, it's known that 17 data centers were attacked in a massive DDoS strike. This strike interrupted internet services for sites, such as Amazon, HBO Now, The New York Times, PayPal, Spotify, Twitter and many other sites.
Dyn has servers in 20 data centers across the world and the attack was able to get to 17 of the data centers. It used CCTV cameras and DVRs to create the attack. Three data centers were not attacked, which were found in Shanghai, Warsaw and Beijing.
