📅 - Chrome Announces Default Flag Marker for Non-Secured HTTP Websites - Google recently decided to do away with their current method of marking non-secure websites, which involves marking HTTP sites with a red X over the site information in the URL bar. They will switch over to a new flag that will mark the HTTP sites and issue a default security warning.
The change will appear in a future Chrome update, but for now, users can enable the new flag by typing “chrome://flags/” in the address bar. These changes come not long after Google changed their search ranking algorithm to prioritize HTTPS websites and penalize HTTP websites.

📅 - Azure Stack Technical Preview Goes Live Friday - Microsoft announced on Tuesday the first technical preview of Azure Stack is scheduled to go live on Friday, January 29. Azure Stack, with the inclusion of validated Ubuntu images from Canonical, promises to be the only “full power true hybrid cloud platform” in existence. Azure Stack will also support Ubuntu, Debian, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
Microsoft will release the Azure Stack to technical preview with open source application compatibility.

📅 - Chrome to Introduce Default Non-Secure Flag for HTTP - Google Chrome will introduce a default warning for any sites marked with HTTP to let users know it's an insecure site. This information comes from the Chromium issue tracking page.
Chrome already marks the HTTP sites with an “x” over the “site information” section of the URL. This signifies the site is not secure, but they plan to add an option to enable “chrome://flags/”, which will provide a warning in the URL bar. ...
📅 - Digital Realty Considers Interxion Acquisition - San Francisco-based colocation and interconnection company Digital Realty is considering acquiring the Europe-based data center colocation provider Interxion for an undisclosed amount. The consideration was announced earlier this week through investor news site DealReporter.
Two of Interxion's main competitors–Equinix and Telecity Group–recently merged and are cornering the market. This came as a surprise to Interxion, who had previously agreed to merge with Telecity before Equinix stepped in. The decision to acquire Interxion would make Digital Realty a bigger player in colocation, balancing the market.
