Chrome Announces Default Flag Marker for Non-Secured HTTP Websites
📅 - Google recently decided to do away with their current method of marking non-secure websites, which involves marking HTTP sites with a red X over the site information in the URL bar. They will switch over to a new flag that will mark the HTTP sites and issue a default security warning.
The change will appear in a future Chrome update, but for now, users can enable the new flag by typing “chrome://flags/” in the address bar. These changes come not long after Google changed their search ranking algorithm to prioritize HTTPS websites and penalize HTTP websites.
