📅 November 30, 2006 - SSL certificate provider SSL.com (ssl.com) announced on Wednesday it now carries all the major brands of SSL certificates, including ones from Verisign, XRamp, Comodo, Thawte, Rapidssl.com and GeoTrust.

SSL.com says it has certificates suitable for all types of businesses. It offers standard SSL certificates for small to medium-sized Web sites, and for sites that require a high-level of security it offers high-assurance SSL certificates.

For customers that want to test products before buying, SSL.com offers its Free SSL product, which lets them try out SSL products in a test environment before rolling them out in their production environments.

The company also offers verification and compliance certificates that enable businesses to verify specific customer data during non-face-to-face transactions, use additional data points for fraud detection and comply with government policies.

IBM beat out rival Northrop Gunman to win a contract valued at $863 million.
