Dec 1, 2006 : Networkz Offers New SSL Certificate
📅 - Web hosting provider Networkz Consulting (networkzhosting.com) announced on Thursday it now offers a new six-in-one certificate for assuring Web site security while saving online businesses time and money.
Until now, separate certificates were purchased to protect each domain name, says Networkz Consulting, but now customers can purchase one SSL certificate to protect all six top-level domains, including .com, .net, .biz, .info, .us and .org. Each domain name secured under the new six-in-one SSL must point to the same Web site, says the company.
In addition, with this new six-in-one SSL Certificate, e-businesses can save up to 54 percent over the cost of purchasing individual certificates.
"With the addition of this new feature to our growing list of services, Networks will continue to provide quality customer service," says Sean Worcester, owner of Networkz Consulting.

📅 - ICANN Releases Beta TLD Verification Tool - Today ICANN released a beta version Top-Level Domain (TLD) Verification Tool. This verification tool has been developed in response to problems reported by gTLD registries and end-users of the non-acceptance of some existing TLDs. These problems occur in some current applications because: 1) they do not recognize any TLD of more than three characters; or, 2) they rely on legacy information where only com/net/org and a handful of ccTLDs are recognized as valid. Applications relying on such erroneous TLD criteria result in an inconsistent experience for users, detracting from the benefits of a single, global interoperable DNS. This TLD verification tool will provide a means for
